Durban – At least 15 people were left injured on Wednesday morning after a minibus overturned on the N3 Durban-bound near the Peacevale turnoff, north-west of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said that ER24 and other services responded to the incident and found the minibus lying on its roof in the left-hand lane of the road.
“Several occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around at the scene,” said Meiring.
While paramedics assessed patients, police began to close off a few lanes and divert traffic, said Meiring.
“Assessments of the patients showed that approximately 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious,” continued Meiring.
Meiring said that the patients were treated for their injuries and transported to hospital by different medical services.
He said the details surrounding the incident are unknown but police were on scene and are investigating.
