The mother, her 4-month-old baby, a 2-year-old child and the domestic worker were shoved into a corner and held at gunpoint.

One of the suspects allegedly pistol whipped the woman as she clinged on to her baby. She suffered minor injuries to the head.

Meanwhile the other suspects ransacked the house stealing two televisions, an iPhone, watches, bracelets and rings before fleeing the scene in a brown VW Caravelle.

Reaction Unit South Africa urged the public to be on the lookout for the brown VW Caravelle which had GP registration.
