An Esselen Crescent family is distraught over the disappearance of their teenage daughter and is praying for her safe return as police follow all leads to try and locate her.
Nazeera Essop (17), disappeared on Saturday at about 2:30pm and has not been seen since then. Her family has opened a missing person’s case at Phoenix SAPS.
Speaking to the Phoenix Tabloid, distressed Farzana Essop, said, “My daughter went to purchase airtime at the local tuck-shop and did not return. My younger daughter informed me about 10 to 15 minutes after she left on the errand that Nazeera had not returned. That’s when I started getting worried. Her phone is switched off. Now we are panicked because we do not know what happened to her and where she could be as so much time has passed.”
At the time of her disappearance, Nazeera was attired in maroon pants, a pink long sleeve top with black takkies. She is about 1.7 meters in height, fair in complexion with long black hair. According to her mum, the missing teenager had left home to purchase airtime at a local tuck-shop. She has not been seen since & her mobile phone has been switched off.
“We are pleading to anyone who may have information about Nazeera’s whereabouts and can help to find her, to please come forward and share what they know. We need to find our daughter as soon as possible,” said Farzana.
