Durban – The public is raising questions after Mobi-Claw, the firm hired to investigate Siam Lee’s disappearance, hinted on what could have happened to the 20-year-old Durbanite.
Information on the investigation have been scarce. Reasonably so because investigators would not want to jeopardise the whole case just because the information landed onto the wrong people.
However, Mobi-Claw has said on their Facebook page that Siam Lee was a victim of terrible circumstances before quickly mentioning that the investigation led them into a dark underworld.
This has fuelled speculation of what transpired to Lee.
The statement has left the public uncertain if she was a mere victim of some underworld business activity or there could be more revelations to come.
Their Facebook followers have asked if her abduction and subsequent murder had a connection with an underworld business activity. They have however not opened up.
At the time of print Mobi-Claw had not responded to questions sent to them.
Meanwhile, SAPS spokesperson Thulani Zwane has confirmed that Lee’s family travelled to the New Hanover Police Station on Friday to try and identify the body.
“We can confirm that the family of the missing 20-year-old woman went to the police station today to try and identify the body. Although the family identified the body, we as police will await for the postmortem results,” he said.
Zwane says DNA results are expected in the coming days.
“We will take some samples from the family members as well as samples from the body and send them to forensics to check for a match,” he said.
