Hijackers with ak47 hold up kloof woman

Hijackers armed with AK47’s held up a Kloof motorist and fled with her vehicle on Friday afternoon.

Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the motorist had just driven out of a property in Bromhead Road and was travelling along Marievale Drive when she noticed that a white bakkie was following her.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.30pm.

“The victim was not certain as to exactly where the white bakkie had appeared from when it started following her. The bakkie overtook the motorist and then forced her to stop her vehicle. Three suspects armed with AK47’s jumped out and forced her out of her vehicle,” Mathios said.

“They also pulled a gold ring off her finger and ripped gold jewellery from her neck, before fleeing in her vehicle. No injuries were reported.”

Pinetown SAPS attended the scene of the crime. A case of hijacking is being investigated. Blue Security
