A 6-month-old baby was seriously injured after being ejected during a taxi rollover on M4 South near Broadway off ramp.
Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the crash in Durban North at approximately 06h30 on Tuesday morning.
Reports from the scene allege that the minibus taxi was the only vehicle involved. The incident and preceding events will form part of a police investigation.
Paramedics attended to fourteen people at the scene, thirteen adults had sustained injuries ranging from relatively minor to moderate and a six-month-old baby boy had sustained very serious injuries after he had been ejected when the vehicle overturned.
The patients were stabilised at the scene and then transported by different ambulance services to a hospital for further assessment and care.
At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
