Fourteen people have been injured in two separate accidents in and around Pinetown CBD on Tuesday afternoon.
In the first accident just after 3pm Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the M13 Pietermaritzburg Bound at the top of Fields Hill for a multiple vehicle accident. On arrival they found that two vehicles and a truck had collided before the truck overturned into the centre medium and one of the vehicles overturned coming to rest on its side.
Four occupants from both vehicles were injured and stabilised on the scene before being transported to various hospitals for the further care that they required.
Rescue Care Paramedics were then called to the M19 Durban Bound near Otto Volek Road for another collision just before 4pm. On arrival Paramedics found that a taxi and a light delivery vehicle had collided in a rear impact collision.
Nine passengers who were inside the taxi had sustained various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the events leading up to these collisions is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further. ArriveAlive
